College of Contemporary Music Will Preview Educational Programs & Host Contests with Prize Giveaways at Nashville Music City Center on July 17-19
LOS ANGELES, CA – July 1, 2014 – Bringing a taste of Hollywood to Nashville, Musicians Institute (MI) will bring its innovative 360-degree approach to music education to the upcoming Summer NAMM 2014 convention. The College of Contemporary Music will appear at Booth #1244 at the Nashville Music City Center from July 17-19, where it will host contests with exciting prize giveaways while giving attendees a preview of its state-of-the-art Los Angeles campus.
Since its founding in 1977, MI has supported artists in every era of music, and their SNAMM booth will reflect this with a Hollywood photo shoot contest—where attendees can capture themselves in a ‘70s mullet, ‘80s hair-metal wig, and more. A spinning prize wheel and other contests will offer winners amazing giveaways, including top music gear. Smart phone charging stations will also be available for those who visit MI’s booth.
MI’s booth will also offer a sneak peek of their Guitar Craft Academy, where students learn to build guitars from scratch. A specially created sculpture hand-carved by GCA Program Chair Paul Roberts will illustrate the guitar-making process, from raw wood to finished instrument. Details will also be available about the college’s blended learning initiative that combines classroom instruction with digital delivery of multimedia content; as well as the latest instructional books published by MI Press.
