EarthQuaker Devices Partners with Lost Lust Supply on Designer Enamel Pins

AKRON, OHIO – Effects pedal manufacturer EarthQuaker Devices, known for their eye-poppingly colorful graphic designs, have teamed with Lost Lust Supply to produce a series of four designer enamel pins inspired by EarthQuaker’s famous “Octoskull” logo, Rainbow Machine pitch-shifting pedal, and the Hoof fuzz effects pedal. Used by musicians to alter the sound of their amplified instruments, and often displayed on customizable “pedal boards,” effects pedals are a popular way for artists to personalize the sound of their particular instrument and amplifier.

EarthQuaker Devices was founded in 2004 by guitarist and graphic designer Jamie Stillman, who designed and built guitar pedals by hand in the basement of his West Akron home.

Recognized internationally for their audio and build quality, as well as their esoteric visual aesthetic, EarthQuaker Devices now employs 50+ artists and musicians at their manufacturing facility in Akron, Ohio, where they “. . . make [pedals] one-at-a-time, by hand, the hard way, in the idyllic post-apocalyptic wasteland metropolis of Akron, Ohio, USA - where the soldering smoke blocks out the sun, and the fiery Cuyahoga River pumps white-hot liquid magma into the steam engine that powers [their] great riff factory in the sky.” Their effects pedals can be seen and heard onstage with artists like Modest Mouse, Queens of the Stone Age, Red Fang, the Black Keys, and many more.

Lost Lust Supply is a collaboration between Akron, Ohio based graphic artist Charlie Wagers and Portland, Oregon based photographer Brian Stowell. Boasting 20+ years of experience in the merchandise and entertainment industries, the pair have worked with clients including mewithoutyou, Ray LaMontagne, Alabama Shakes, Eddie Izzard, NPR Music, Six Flags, and the Black Keys. They call Lost Lust Supply a “side-project and creative outlet which allows them to make fun, practical objects without client bounds or restrictive deadlines.”

The series of four EarthQuaker Devices / Lost Lost Supply enamel pins are available for purchase at earthquakerdevices.com for $8.50 USD each, or $30 for all four.
