  • New Shure UHF Frequencies Allow Up to 78 Compatible Systems

    By Guest |

Shure announced the availability of two new frequency bands for its UHF Series wireless systems, bringing the total count of compatible systems in the U.S. to 78 (area dependent). In addition to increasing the number of simultaneously operable units from 40 to 78, the new J4 and M4 bands offer users a wider range of available frequencies to choose from.

The new J4 band operates between 554 and 584 MHz (UHF TV 28-32), while the new M4 band utilizes the frequencies between 662 and 692 MHz (UHF TV 46-50). Both offer 24 compatible frequencies each. These two new bands join UHF Series' already-existing UA (782-806 MHz) and UB (692-716) bands. There is no additional charge for ordering the new bands.

The introduction of the J4 and M4 bands are accompanied by three new wide-band accessories: the UA845US antenna distribution system, the UA830WB in-line RF amplifier, and the UA870WB active directional antenna.
