Graph Tech has announced what they are calling the world's first expandable, modular pick-up system for electric guitars and basses.

Take Graph Tech's saddle pick-ups, with piezos specifically designed for the frequency range of the guitar, embedded within their patented String Saver Saddles; plug them into the Ghost Acousti-Phonic preamp for acoustic sound; and/or use the Ghost Hexpander preamp and connect it to the (included) 13 pin output jack for the fastest tracking Virtual or MIDI capable output available on the market today.

    • The Ghost Hexpander easily snaps onto the Ghost Acousti-Phonic preamp; very small, fits into the smallest cavities.
    • The Ghost Hexpander pre-amp features a proprietary harmonic dampening system that results in tracking that is faster and more accurate.
    • Easy to install, just replace the saddles. Completely modular, very little soldering. You can buy the Acousti-phonic and 6 months later add the mid boost, or a Quickswitch to quickly change from the magnetic pick-ups to the Acousti-Phonic. A year later, add the Hexpander - just plug it in!
    • Quickswitches and mid boost accessories are easily added by plugging them into the micro patch bay.
    • The Ghost Hexpander can "piggyback" with the Ghost Acousti-Phonic pre-amp or be used as a standalone system.
    • Operates with the latest MIDI controllers and Virtual Guitar systems: Roland GR33, Roland VG88 & V-Bass, Roland GI-20, Axon 100 and more.
    • Pickup sensitivity is not affected by variations in string pressure - use of your tremolo on acoustic settings without volume dropouts.
    • Fits more electric guitar models: most Strat style, Tele style, Wilkinson, Tune-o-matic, PRS, and P/J-Bass bridges.
    • MSRP: From $199 to $549
