Premier Piano Course: Technique Book 4 Released by Alfred Music Publishing
By Guest |
The world leader in educational music publishing releases Premier Piano Course: Technique Book 4, its newest addition to the widely popular piano method, Premier Piano Course. Perfect as a supplement for advancing piano students, Technique Book 4 continues and expands on the technical tools and artistic skills learned in Technique books 1A - 3.
Technique Book 4 introduces five new Technique Tools--- staccato against legato, playing in and out of black keys, speed links, open the hand, and rock the Alberti bass. Artistic Etudes showcase a student’s technique in an expressive musical setting, and Hands-Together Workshops focus on developing the skills necessary for coordinating hands-together playing. The Masterwork Etudes provide training to play standard masterworks. Each page in the Technique Book correlates with a specific page in the corresponding Lesson Book.
Alfred’s Premier Piano Course is a beginning piano method with three main components: Lesson, Theory, and Performance. The method includes original music by renowned authors, Dennis Alexander and Martha Mier, as well as new arrangements of other favorites. Musical structure and concepts are presented in a fun, interactive way that keeps students interested and enthusiastic about learning. Pedagogues, Dr. Gayle Kowalchyk, Dr. E.L. Lancaster, and Dr. Victoria McArthur created the theory books based on a comprehensive musicianship approach that includes written theory, ear training, sight-reading, and creative activities. Reading is introduced using a non-position approach based on patterns and landmarks to produce strong sight-readers.
Premier Piano Course: Technique Book 4 (00-34106) is now available for $6.99 at music retail stores and at alfred.com/piano.
