K-Sounds Releases Signature Piano for Motif ES and Motif XS
By Guest |
K-Sounds has released two new versions of Signature Piano, their virtual C7. Already available in Kontakt format, Signature Piano is now offered in Motif ES and Motif XS formats as well.
Designed with quality in mind, Signature Piano’s sample data was recorded and edited at 176.4kHz, 24-bits/32-bits, then converted to Motif-compatible specifications for the final products. The stereo image is wide, centered, and mono-compatible. Every note has a generous, natural-sounding sustain.
Two bank sizes are provided per format. The 113MB bank offers four sampled velocities plus damper resonance. The 495MB bank features eight velocities with longer samples and more sampled notes across the keyboard. It also offers damper resonance, release resonance, and hammer noise samples. Both banks include a variety of voices and performances.
Signature Piano’s damper resonance samples are true recordings of the sympathetic string resonance heard when a piano’s damper pedal is pressed. Sampling the actual resonance of a real piano provides authenticity that surpasses digital effects and convolution. This resonance is presented as an independent component of the instrument, allowing users to adjust its volume or disable it altogether.
Signature Piano is designed to be incredibly playable. It was constantly played during its development to ensure that it responds dynamically and musically.
