    Green Day, the award-winning punk/alternative rock trio, is highly  regarded as one of the most influential bands on the music scene.  In  2005, they won the “Record of the Year” Grammy® Award for their studio album Boulevard of Broken Dreams, as well as “Best Rock Album” for 21st Century Breakdown in 2009. Their most recent release, Awesome as F**k, is a compilation of live music recorded from their 21st Century Breakdown tour.  They currently have an American Idiot Broadway tour that commenced back in April of 2010 boasting over 400 performances and counting.
