The violin and guitar maker William Johnston is proud to announce his new line of affordable handmade guitars. These guitars are well constructed and give a serious guitar player the chance to own a great sounding acoustic guitar. All Johnston guitars feature solid wood top, back, and sides, no plywood is used on his guitars.

The new line of Johnston guitars is priced at just $550 for a guitar with mahogany back and sides and for $650 you can have a guitar with rosewood or flamed maple back and sides. These guitars feature tap tuned tops and backs, 25.4" scales, bone nuts and saddles, Indian rosewood fingerboards and bridges, and single bound bodies.

Unlike other guitars in the $500 to $700 price range Johnston guitars are made in a one man shop not a factory. Because these guitars are made in a one man shop Johnston guitars come in several shapes, sizes, and with your choice of top woods. Johnston guitars come in OO, OOO, dreadnought, and jumbo sizes. You also have a choice of a 14 fret neck or a 12 fret neck. Classical guitars are available at no extra charge.

William Johnston is also introducing a new line of archtop guitars. All Johnston archtop guitars have a hand carved spruce top and a handcarved flamed maple back. The archtop guitars are priced at $1,100 each.
