D'Addario has announced an expansion of the Two-Way Humidification System, designed to protect acoustic guitars from damage associated with their cases. PRS Acoustic Guitars, Rockbridge Guitars, and Hoffee Cases, Inc. will join Alvarez Guitars in incorporating the system into their product lines. The Two-Way Humidification system uses specially-designed gel packets to keep cases at an ideal condition for storing acoustics -maintaining a relative humidity between 45 and 50 percent.

For a limited time, these guitar and case companies will include a "case candy" promo card in select guitars and cases. These will contain a 12-digit code providing access to a complementary Two-Way Humidification System, complete with gel packets and storage pouches.

"D'Addario's Two-Way Humidification System is the only interior humidity control we recommend for our cases," said Jeff Hoffee, president of Hoffee Cases Inc. "I'm excited to partner with D'Addario and offer this top-quality system to our customers, who expect the best."

"The idea here is to get consumers 'hooked' on proper humidification of their fine acoustic guitars." Said Peter D'Addario, National Sales Manager for D'Addario, "When an acoustic guitar is properly maintained, it not only plays better, but it's less likely to suffer damage that requires costly repairs. In the long run, that's great for guitar owners and D'Addario dealers who sell the replacement gel packets."
