  • World's Fastest Drummer to Be Crowned January 22

    West L.A. Music is presenting the World's Fastest Drummer 2 on January 22, 2002. This event will be held in conjunction with the WFD, a Guinness Book Sanctioned company. The World's Fastest Drummer 2 will be televised for XSTV, a regular Extreme Sports Show on Fox, and it is expected to get at least 3, 6 minutes segments for next year's programming, not including re-runs. The show will air into some 17 million homes first run then 47 million in syndication.

    Visit West L.A. Music (in West Los Angeles) and try out for the World's Fastest Drummer competition. Compete in single stroke rolls for hands and/or feet. The top 10 fastest times in each category will advance to the televised finals on Fox TV.

    Learn from the World's fastest!

    This event/clinic will start with the fastest feet competition. Next, audience members will learn groove and speed techniques demonstrated by Art Verdi, (World's Fastest Drummer), Tim Waterson (World's Fastest Feet), Johnny Rabb and Zoro. The event will then conclude with the fastest hand competition.

    This year's event will be held at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, in a theater facility that will hold about 500 people.
