  • Two New Collections from Discrete Drums

    By Guest |

Now available from Discrete Drums is Earthbeat, the Series Three collection. The 8 CD set features multitrack drum performances with companion multitrack percussion loops, giving users up to 16 tracks from which to construct simple or complex arrangements as desired.

This collection covers a variety of Latin, African, Eastern and other "world" textures. Drummer Greg Morrow and percussionist Eric Darken were recorded in Nashville's Sound Kitchen by engineer Steve Marcantonio and producer Rick DiFonzo.

The 8 disc set (5 discs of of 24 bit 44.1 multitrack WAV files, 1 disc of 16 bit stereo wav files, 1 audio CD for quick reference, and 1 - 24 bit wav sample CD) comes in Discrete_s signature wooden box, and retails for $199. A 16 bit stereo WAV version is available for $99. The Sample CD is also available separately, retailing for $49. Audio clips can be heard at the Discrete web site.

Coming in May from Discrete Drums is Discrete Percussion - the Eric Darken Collection. This collection consists of entirely new percussion loops, not included in any other set. Eric Darken blends sounds from traditional percussion instruments with his arsenal of "found" percussion elements such as curtain rod, briefcase, humidifier, toilet, laundry basket, door slam, and many others.

This is a 2 disc set (1 CD-ROM of 16 bit 44.1 wav files and 1 audio CD for reference) featuring all percussion elements on separate tracks, enabling users to mix their own loops. Pre-mixed stereo loop files are included as well, with several alternate versions for ease of use.

Discrete Percussion - the Eric Darken Collection will retail for $99.
