The Zildjian Company introduces the Horacio Hernandez Artist Series Model Drumstick.

Featuring a very small, round bead, the Horacio Hernandez Artist Series Drumstick provides a very clear and pinpoint tonality. The stick measures 16" in length with a 0.500 grip diameter for a solid feel, while the long taper to small round bead, creates a stick that dances in a controlled fashion on instruments. A double coating of lacquer also gives the stick a unique grippy feel. Horacio's stick is constructed from U.S. Select Hickory and features his "El Negro" logo in bright metallic red.

"Horacio Hernandez is noted worldwide for his musical control and creativity. The Zildjian Company is proud to include in its Artist Series line a drumstick, which perfectly reflects these attributes", said John Sorenson, General Manager of Drumsticks.

A native of Havana, Cuba, Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez's talent became evident early on and at age 12, he was accepted into the prestigious Escuela Nacional de Arte, where he majored in drums and percussion. He has played with musicians ranging from Gonzalo Rubalcaba to Michel Camilo to Carlos Santana to Tito Puente's Tropi-Jazz All-Stars. His distinct drumming style, the potent mixture of Afro Cuban and Jazz elements, has made him an artist of extraordinary power and musical versatility.

    List Price (per pair): $14.00
