    By Guest |

Now  available from Alesis, the PercPad electronic drum pad instrument  provides a revolutionary compact solution for drummers and  instrumentalists.

Cumberland, R.I. (June 27, 2011) – Alesis,  a leading manufacturer of electronic percussion products and studio  electronics, announces that the PercPad, the first four-pad electronic  percussion instrument, is now shipping to musical instrument retailers  everywhere.

The PercPad’s four velocity-sensitive electronic drum pads,  external kick input, high-quality internal sounds and compact size make  it the perfect choice for percussionists looking to incorporate  electronic percussion into their setups. Drummers can place the PercPad  on a standard snare drum stand or mount it to other stands or racks using the Alesis Module Mount, sold separately.

The PercPad has a collection of acoustic and electronic drum and percussion instrument sounds that are perfectly suited to the needs of drummers and  percussionists. Drummers can easily tune and edit sounds and can also  expand their sound palete using the PercPad’s MIDI output, enabling them  to perform with the sounds from any MIDI sound module or software on  their Mac or PC. The PercPad is compatible with virtually any switch or  velocity-sensitive kick trigger or pad including the Alesis DMPad and  RealHead Kick Pads.

The PercPad percussion pad is now available from musical instrument retailers worldwide with a  U.S. retail price of $199.00 and an estimated street price of $99.00.

“The  PercPad contains sounds every drummer needs and it’s incredibly easy to  use,” said Dan Radin, Product Manager, Alesis. “With a kick trigger  input, multiple mounting options and an incredibly affordable price,  it’s easy to add the PercPad to virtually any drum or percussion setup  to trigger the sounds you need.”
