Marshall is expanding their line of bass amplification systems with the new VBA400 head and accompanying cabinets. The VBA400 has the massive tonal power of eight 6550 power tubes, plus three ECC83 and one ECC82 in the preamp section. The front panel controls are kept simple, but still offers a lot of tonal variation with the three-band passive EQ and 'Contour' control. Tuning your bass during a set is also made easier with the addition of the 'Tuner Mute' switch that cuts all sound to the speaker cabinets and DI output, while still feeding sound to the dedicated tuner output.

The matching cabinets for the VBA400 head come in 4x12 and 8x10 configurations, both of which feature one piece construction to give extra strength and minimize unwanted cabinet rattle. They also have sound absorbent wadding to damp internal resonances. Internal partitioning further damps resonance and aids smooth performance. The custom designed loudspeakers have been specially selected to handle the power of the VBA400 amplifier.
