As they have done over the past few years, Warwick commemorates 2002 with a new limited edition bass -- the Corvette FNA Jazzman Limited. This bass takes some of the finest features from their best-selling models and combines them into one special package.

Warwick started with their Corvette body design, which players herald as one of the best-balancing basses available today. Unlike the Corvette Standard and the Corvette Proline, this bass has a walnut back and a swirly bubinga cap, giving it a warm sound with edgy mids and clear highs.

Another thing that makes this instrument so unique is the custom fingerboard. Warwick chose to use a rosewood fingerboard with the classic look of rectangular inlays, giving it a special vintage look and a killer, modern tone.

When it came to adding a pickup and electronics package, Warwick opted for their Jazzman set-up. The passive humbucking pickup and passive J-style pickup work with an active onboard preamp. There is a very special addition to this Jazzman package, which is a passive tone control. When you pull on the volume knob you bypass the active preamp, and the passive tone controls gives you the ability to shape your tone. This is a true active/passive hybrid bass with tonal flexibility.

There will only be 75 of these basses made, so if you want to get your hands on one, be sure to go to your nearest Warwick dealer and reserve yours today. Scheduled for a July release, the Corvette FNA Jazzman LTD will retail for $2,499.
