(May 4, 2017 Nashville, TN) Epiphone presents the new Premier Artist Signature Series and the debut of the Ltd. Ed. 20th Anniversary Jack Casady Signature Bass celebrating two decades of perhaps the best-selling archtop electric bass of all time. Featuring a beautiful Flame Maple Veneer top finished in Wine Red, Casady’s custom-wound black JCB-1™ Humbucker, and a 3-Position VariGain™ Switch; 50, 250, 500 ohms. Plus, a custom 20th Anniversary gig bag, deluxe leather strap, and certificate of authenticity hand signed by Jack Casady.

Jack Casady is one of the of the most influential bassists of his generation and a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for his work in the Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna.  Casady ranks among the Top 25 Bassists of all time in Bass Player magazine and today his bass can be heard on tour with Paul McCartney, Jack White, the Stone Roses, and many others.

“Jack Casady has not only been a great friend to Epiphone but he embodies what we strive to do everyday,” said Epiphone President, Jim Rosenberg.  “Jack is an innovator, a maverick and totally unique.  He never stops trying to improve. And he has a great time on stage, too!”

When Epiphone and Jack Casady first released Jack’s signature bass in 1997, it was the culmination of years of experimentation by the innovative bassist to create an instrument that had superb electric tone but also had the response of an acoustic bass.

“I just can't believe it's been 20 years now since my lovely late wife Diana and I worked on these basses, getting the tone right on it, and that it's still out there,” Casady told Epiphone.com. “The workmanship that’s coming in on these instruments is just super. Every year I get two new instruments that I take out on the road. No ringers. I have none that are set up a special way or anything like that and they are great.”
