  • Garritan Releases Personal Orchestra Sibelius Edition And Rock & Pop Sample Libraries

    By Guest |

In addition to offering users intuitive and easy-to-use notation software, Sibelius further enhances the music-making process with Sibelius Sounds, which includes two new titles, the award-winning Garritan Personal Orchestra Sibelius Edition and Rock & Pop.

These new playback programs provide top-quality sound sample libraries and can be played back or exported to create a CD or MP3.

The new collections, developed for the recently released Sibelius 4.1, are equipped with a special version of the acclaimed Kontakt sample player from Native Instruments, providing controls for dynamics, effects and other audio characteristics.

The popular Garritan Personal Orchestra Sibelius Edition includes more than 270 orchestral instruments—strings, brass, woodwinds, keyboards and percussion, as well as samples from exceptional instruments such as Stradivarius violins. It also provides accurate renditions of articulation and expression markings during playback, as well as subtly different versions of the same instrument to distinguish players (i.e. Trumpets 1 and 2).

The Rock & Pop collection, developed in partnership with Sonic Implants and Native Instruments, contains 108 pitched instruments plus 20 drum kits, representing the distinctive instrumental sounds of rock and popular music—including Fender Stratocaster, Rickenbacker bass, Hammond B3 organ—in addition to strings and horns, plus standard keyboards and guitars.
