  2. Great collection for sure .You seem to have everything covered, but you never know. I don't know how many times I've bought "the last guitar I need.

  3. Just as the title says, I've got everything I've wanted. The last addition was the Fender American Strat (HSS).

  4. I generally buy plain old 80/20 lights, usually Martins but my last couple of sets have been d'Addarios. I nearly always buy from local mom and pops. Never tried coated strings so I can't comment on the Lifespans but I wanted you to know you're not alone in supporting local business.

  5. Yes I think you would! Strangely enough I went to a local music store today and played a few guitars, a Fender Starcaster reissue, a Squier Mustang and a Casino Coupe. Gotta say that new Fender Starcaster is amazing! Felt really nice and sounded amazing! The VM Mustang had a pretty thick neck, and while it sounded good, it felt strange for a short scale guitar to have such a thick neck. The Casino Coupe sounded nice, but I found the body just a hair too small, and the neck was a little strange to me. It felt nice in the cowboy chord area, but about the fifth or sixth fret it felt like

  6. I think most active players, bass and guitar, would definitely be interested, and prior to modding 18v, I definitely would as well. If you could boost the voltage to 18, I'm game. Curious - what was the price point?

  8. HNPD! Boss makes some killer effects, they just don't always play nice with others. Hopefully, you won't have any issues

  9. I guess Bass players just don't generally get the kind of credit they deserve unless they're funksters like Bootsy Collins or something. I've always loved that band and yet didn't recognize the name. I mean Bruce was a more a household name on the back of his compelling lead vocals like Sting I suppose. RIP Mr Fraser, I dug the heck outa your grooves.

  11. Some people say they are microponic and of course aluminum is not as tough as plastic. I've even read that it can make the tone a little harsh . But I also read that a sheilding plate can enhance the mids.so there may be some possibilities This is something we discovered by accident while trying to replicate the huge, warm tones of a genuine ’63 Strat with an ’83 Tokai Goldstar. Acoustically there was little to choose between them, but despite trying various sets of pickups and correcting the tone cap, the sound wasn’t quite there. By chance we had an aluminium shielding plate hanging

  12. I put an under $20(guitarpartsonline I think it was) roller on this Epi Explorer. Dropped right onto the posts of the orig Epi tunomatic. Going from the tunomatic stop tail to the B5 and the roller bridge definitely looses you some sustain. But I gained some subtle but noticeable 'twang". The cheap roller has held up well and doesnt rattle. I really need a roller nut, or a well cut brass one to make this totally killer. The nut is critical w a Bigsby and even more so on the hockey stick headsock. But with sane Bigsby use the stock plastic nut does ok if you keep it lubed.

  13. Epiphone, PRS SE, Edwards, Tokai, Agile, Dean, ESP LTD, and so many more. Les Paul copies at all sorts of prices are available from all sorts of companies. Like Strats, they are many variants and versions. I've had Gibsons, I like my Epiphones, and I'll honestly take a well made Epi over a Gibson.
