Members Nijyo
So, I'm gonna pick up a Squire Affinity and put some Hot Rails in it for practice with wiring, soldering, and to have a backup. But having 3 hot rails seems kinda monotonous. Anyone got some suggestions for /experience with a good spread that will work for old school heavy metal (no harder than early Maiden) and hard rock? Members Brett Valentine
Another possibility might be a Lil '59 in the neck position.
Members cratz2
Are you planning on having them splittable? If' not, I'd go with something low output in the neck for sure. I'd probably go Dimarzio... Fast Track 2 in the bridge, Cruiser Neck in the neck and... I don't know for the middle. I don't use middle HBs. Never had one. Guess I'd go crazy and either get the Tone Zone or the Super Distortion. I've never been a fan of the Hot Rails, but if you like Maiden, it might be exactly the ticket for you.
