Members darkmonohue
Blues You Can Use is an excellent resource provided you already know how to play the guitar. I'd also recommend Jesse Gress's Blues Lick Factory if you want to build up your blues vocabulary.
Members Besa-Moogie
Someone mentioned Joe Bonamassa before. He is worth a look if you like Gary Moore. Get his Blues Deluxe album.

Lick Library also has some great videos http://www.licklibrary.com/?source=google&gclid=CJu78dP97JkCFUpM5QodOXrsRA great for learning the basics, "the style of", or actual songs note for note if that is your thing.. Members dangerouso
I know this may sound cliche, but learn the blues scale all over the neck in every key. then listen to some good old blues records and try to play along, try to figure out the licks and phrases, and you find that most of em are just notes from the blues scale. You'll learn a lot from doing this and begin to develop your own style of playing

Members Willyguitar
Muddy Waters, BB King, Howlin Wolf and Albert King are three of the greatest Blues artists for me. This is one of the greatest 'white' blues albums of all times. A 'must listen' if you are into blues guitar:
Members BeanoBoy
Gary's blues style owes a great deal to John Mayall alumni Eric Clapton, Peter Green and Mick Taylor. Early Clapton such as The Bluesbreaker 'Beano' album and Fresh Cream, are a great place to start. Green's work with Mayall and especially Fleetwood Mac is outstanding, although not as supercharged. Green is a tad more tasteful and restrained. Taylor might have had the most expressive vibrato of the three. His work on Get Yer Ya Yas Out with the Stones is definitely worth checking out. Blues and Blues-Rock is not as distorted as Metal. Go for more of an overdriven tone as opposed to balls-out distortion. Phrasing and vibrato are REAL important. Members Loudog99
As lame as it sounds- I bought Blues Guitar for Dummies and it is a very good basic blues book. Comes with a DVD and covers most styles of blues. It also has a great section at the end which teaches you a progression in the style of famous blues players/ bands. ZZTop, Led Zep, SRV, Albert Collins, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, BB King, Clapton, etc.... they are all in there along with at least 20 more samples.
