Members smackthedemons
I'm interested to know if anyone knows of any heavier bands have songs that include slide guitar parts, or of bands that do this exclusively. I'm writing my dissertation about slide guitar and intend to write a song in this style as part of it, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Members cerebrix
the only metal band i can think of is one im not too particularly fond of. even if i do love their drummer. that would be hellyeah. if hard rock counts, billy howerdel played slide in a perfect circle a lot

Members Super Bass
PAIN (swedish) - Peter Tagtgren used slide guitar on one of the songs off the latest album. The song is called "Have A Drink on Me". Check it out, it should be on Youtube. I can't access YT here so I can't post it.
Members Railfanespee
I don't know how popular it is, but Guns N Roses does a song called Bad Obsession. It has a pretty cool slide riff.
Members Minnie The Moocher
Well, if hard rock does count too, Rose Tattoo is an obvious reference.

Members drawdeep
I was just going to say, if you count Hair Metal, I think Mick used a slide on a couple of Motley Crue songs, and Jon Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive", although not metal at all, has a slide intro. If you count hard rock, ZZ Top.
