Playing electric guitar in a classical position

Does anyone else here like to play the electric guitar in a classical-like position on their left leg when sitting down? I find it more comfortable and practical, e.g. it is about the same height on the left leg as when you are standing up. I also use a footstool too, because it feels more comfortable. That said, only my Taylor gets played on my right leg when sitting down.

Yes, with and without a footstool. It all depends on the guitar I am using, but the classical position has always felt more natural to me. I never play off of my right leg while sitting, even with an acoustic.

When playing my Les Paul or Flying V, absolutely. Very similar to standing up, which is where I play shows anyway.

You have to play in classical when you play with a v sitting down.

Not sure of the proper terminology, but I've always put the strap button on the inside of my right thigh when I play an electric sitting down. Can't quite play a damn thing with it on top of my leg. My acoustic goes on top though.

 

Also, I stopped playing for about ten or so years, then picked it back up and sat down when I played. Can't play for {censored} standing up now. Maybe it's cause I'm old and stuff.

Not quite, but I tend to keep the neck more elevated than most.

If I'm sitting, I swap to the classical position if I get fatigued. I don't normally start with it though.
