Members Used2BMarkoh Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 God invented digital too. Mathematics is one of the great wonders of the universe that can be viewed as evidence of a greater intelligence at work. Actually, it turns out that the universe is digital - it's all quanta. Analog is for those too lazy to work the details. But I agree with your point.
Members Used2BMarkoh Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 Jesus probably never existed. The name Jesus is interchangeable Joshua, and Joshua worship can be traced back long before the time when Jesus allegedly lived.Mark is first and only real gospel. Matthew and Luke are just remixes of Mark (and another document called Q). In many places they copied Mark verbatim. (The gospel of John is slightly different; it

Members Kaux Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 "Personal experience" is the only route to true spirituality and a relationship with a higher power. This is not a matter of "fact", nor is this up for argument. The problem I have with the church is that most tell you what to believe - without giving you the tools to discover these profound truths out on your own.I have deep issues with fundamentalist Jews, Christians and Islam - but I don't knock God, the Bible or the Koran for this. There's a lot of misinterpretation of the message going on.My God rocks and has performed miracles in my life. If you don't have a higher power, you can borrow mine for a bit and see that I do know what I'm talking about. +1000 Is like when they say, that God created hearth in 7 "earth days", wich is impossible. So if he created heart in 7 "hearth days" how is it that the sun and other celestial bodies appears until the third or fourth (i dont remember) day? There is an explanation, but obviously, traditional religion dont have it.
Members Kaux Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 The name Jesus is interchangeable with Joshua, and Joshua worship can be traced back long before the time when Jesus allegedly lived. Some people said here that The jewish god was EL... And that is probably right. In genesis 1:1 "In the beginning GOD created..." That God is "ELohim". And there are other similar names in the bible for God, like El Shaddai. But that was my point some post ago... the name doesnt not change at all what my personal experience is. And obviously I cant expect God to be named the same through out all history, and in every language. And before some one thinks I am trying to convince anyone with this post...NO, I am saying that believing, or not believing, should be based on personal experiences, observation, conclusions, not what other says, or historical facts.

Could you please explain who or what your god or higher power is?
Members Ryst Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 Wow. 4 pages of god stuff. None of us know at all what happens when we die. I see religion as something I never want to be a part of.....like most other large organizations (professional sports and politics for instance). But god, well, I'm not sure yet. I'm still searching, learning, and discovering new things everyday about this earth and all it's creations. Some days I believe god exists, some days I don't...sometimes it's not even by the day but by the hour. But the only real answer is on the other side. A side I'm not yet ready to see at the moment. I'm having way too much fun here on earth. So I consider myself a "spiritual agnostic". And the lyrics to "I Still Haven't Found What i'm Looking For" from U2 kinda describe how I feel about life.

Members Jon Gnash Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 Where do you guys come up with all this mis-information? This is really laughable. Well - it
Members Jon Gnash Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 It is obvious that you are just regurgitating something you read or better yet found on the internet, without any firsthand knowledge of the Bible, it's origins, Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic language.Nope. That

Members Used2BMarkoh Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 Virtually everything in Matthew 27 can be traced back to some passage in the Old Testament. Right you are. Jesus says he has come to fulfill the law. He is proving that he's the same guy who wrote the old testament.
Members Jon Gnash Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 Right you are. Jesus says he has come to fulfill the law.But they (psalm 22 etc.) are not laws.
Members Jon Gnash Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 I don't know how you could possibly use this as an argument that Jesus never existed. It
Members Jon Gnash Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 Jesus says he has come to fulfill the law.Btw, "Jesus" was dissing Paul. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Members Pianoman1976 Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 Listening to musicians discussing religion is like listening to Ben Affleck discussing politics.
Members mikeymdl Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 See? It all comes from snippets in the OT. It
