Members ggm1960
I've been working with Digital Performer a lot over the last year or so and recently upgraded to ver6. It's a fantastic program I've become quite fond of, however, there are times that I'd still like to transfer a project over to the PC and work on it in Sonar PE7. I'd discovered the OMF thing but that apparently only works on the audio portions of a project and ignores midi tracks. Of course a project can always be saved as a standard midi file but of course then you don't have the audio included. Perhaps I'm missing something or is there a way to save a project with both midi and audio for transfer to a different program/platform?
Members Rekel
I do. Nuendo (PC)> Pro Tools/Logic (Mac) and vice versa. Consolidate tracks.

Members Anderton
As to MIDI and OMF, AFAIK you have two choices. 1. Render the MIDI driven instrument to a hard disk audio track, and transfer that. 2. Save the MIDI as an SMF, and save the preset of the instrument you're driving. In the target program, load the SMF, and the instrument preset.
Members chevybusa
Nope, I just export whatever I do in Reason 4.0 as a .wav to my desktop
Members ggm1960
Thanks for the responses, I was hoping that I wasn't missing something obvious and I'll continue with my present various methods which work fine albeit require just a little extra manipulation. Also, Ableton Live is one of the few programs that can be a ReWire client OR host.

A great way to work for sure! One thing I find annoying though is having to transpose drum midi tracks in order to play them through Redrum (or vis versa in order to play Redrum tracks through other software or hardware drum modules).
