Members Etienne Rambert
I'm tempted to jump at this. The price is astonishing. But I need a new 13" notebook. I have a 15" notebook already. (I also have 2 aging 13" notebooks already). I'm skeptical about a netbook. I think a 13" notebook is a better compromise for mobility & performance. But damn! This is a great price for 3 new computers! I'm very tempted. Inspiron 15 & Netbook 10v & Inspiron Tower
Members blue2blue
As long as they don't market the package with a reworked version of "One Whiskey, One Scotch, One Beer."
Members Jon Hiller
One of my friends got two of their netbooks back in December for gifts for his kids. Both of them have had to have their hard drives replaced. Apparently Dell got a bad batch. They haven't had any issues since the drives were replaced. I wouldn't be scared of the netbooks, I got my daughter an Acer Aspire One, the 8.9" screen model. 1 gig of memory, 120 (might be 160, but I think it's 120) gig hard drive, and Windows XP for $250. Pretty nice little computer as long as you can do without a cd drive being built in.
Members Etienne Rambert
I've had a big Acer Aspire for 18 months. I use it every day and have traveled around the world a couple of times with it. It's pretty good. I also have a DELL 610 Inspiron 13". It has a bad reputation for reliability. But I've had it going on 4 years. It's a real work-horse. That's why I'm thinking of a DELL 13 inch to replace it. I'd retire my Compaq Presario I bought pre-Katrina 2005 & replace it with the DELL I bought post-Katrina 2005. The Compaq has been my music computer. But it's getting old. The DELL 610 is still going strong. I think it's a model that was near the end of the product line. It's been quite reliable. I'm going to hold off until late July. Then I'll buy.
