Members BigTex
OK I've got fat fingers and playing an open A is out of the question Open C ain't so good either. So. standard 43mm nut don't do me no favours and as for Fender's 41mm forget it. Anybody know who does wide necks?

Members Funderbunk
Warmoth will also do 1 3/4" nuts. Warmoth Superwide necks have a 1-7/8 nut - and require a little trickery to even make them fit into a standard neck pocket. They are some big ol' fatties! http://www.warmoth.com/Guitar/Necks/Superwide_WarmothPro.aspx

Members Goofball Jones
I don't know, I have little, fat, sausage fingers (think Johnny Hiland-ish) and I don't have any problems making an open-A or open-C....or any open chord really. Have you gone into a music store and tried out a classical nylon-string guitar? Mainly to see if you can play better due to the wider neck. If so, then you're probably right as to your needs. If you don't find it much different, then it may come down to just plain practice practice practice. Good luck to you!
Members Martin Player
G&Ls can be ordered with a 1 3/4" nut.
Members w00dsy
i'm the same, my nickname at work is Chubby Digits or just Didge now. But the Brian May Guitars have a 45mm neck. The only trouble is it's a 24" scale so it might be harder at the other end of the neck.
