Recording Question

I know this isn't the right forum, but you guys' know.

I'm gonna' start recording again.

I'm using Abelton 6 Live.

I forgot how to get the backing track to Abelton.

I know I have to change it to a WAVE file. I use CDex for that.

Than I get stuck.

Drag N Drop always worked for me. Minimize (restore down) the window and take the wave file and pull it into the trackspace. Should be that easy.

Wel I downloaded a few BT's from CD's into Media Player.

I can't seem to drag and drop into any tracks.

I know I'm doing something wrong.

What I don't know.

This is a wild guess but are you dragging them from Media Player, or from Windows Explorer? You probably have to drag from Explorer. There's also probably an option inside Ableton to import a music file.
