Members V-man
Mine is the Gibson Flying V in Ebony. It is iconic, plain and simple. The one thing that kills me though, is the fact that it is only available with a rosewood fretboard. Brown on black is rough, but brown on black AND white is just awful. What makes it even worse is that they make/made the white Vs with ebony fretboards right beside it. As such, I simply won't give Gibson my money for one... it just bothers me that much. With the disposable income, I'd certainly consider some far-costlier limited affair with block inlays and and a bound ebony fb, and yes, I'd prob suffer through the OCD on a $600 clearance or a $450 craigslist, but no way would I consider parting with $800+ for something that's wrong in my mind. That's the hangup that sticks out clearest in my mind. How about you? Is there some feature or hangup that spoils an otherwise great guitar for you? Members Spike Li
Have to agree with the non ebony boards on black guitars (gibsons), whats with that?Personally, anything with a trem bridge is a deal breaker for me. I have no need or want for them. Just waiting for the day when charvel makes a hardtail...No markers on fret board- that {censored} just scares me Also, fugly headstocks, the the epiphone and Deans pointly V one... Members steve_man
ugly inlays like the bat inlays on that PRS SE model...or pretty much anything by Schecter...
Members V-man
... I rue the day that Dean makes some absurdly amazing V and has out some clearance blowout more infamous and substantial than the Gibson robots. I can tolerate it on those crazy hybrids of theirs, but a V? ugh... ghastly.

Members mr footinmouth
I don't think spoilers would give your guitar more traction. Wait? What are we talking about here?
Members mr footinmouth
Ok, now I got one. A guitar with binding on the body but no binding on the headstock. looks mismatched to me (for example most LP standards, I've grown acostumed to the look but still feel like they need to match the headstock)

I can tolerate it on those crazy hybrids of theirs, but a V? ugh... ghastly.A local music store had a doorbuster type sale the other weekend, and they had a massively reduced Dean Mike Schenker V for sale (something like $2000 down to $700) and I was there at closing and nobody had bought it
Members ending_zero
Didn't Gibson make an SG with a hood scoop?
Members mc_carlini
Horrendous inlays or headstocks will turn me away. Also, i need real wood in my guitar. No particle, ply, "select tonewood" BS for me. It must stay in tune, no cheap trems, and i dont get along well with 25.5 scales
Members jrockbridge
ugly inlays like the bat inlays on that PRS SE model...or pretty much anything by Schecter...+1I'm a traditionalist when it comes to inlays. I prefer dots, blocks & trapezoids...or none with side markers only.NO PLYWOOD! But, a veneer is ok.

Members w00dsy
ugly inlays like the bat inlays on that PRS SE model... yep, the bats really put me off the Allender PRS. If it had dots i'd buy one tomorrow.
Members EJD
There's nothing I would love more than a beautiful vintage Telecaster... but it would be pretty weird not having individual intonation for all the strings. But it's not enough for me to not buy one... ahh, one day Also, ghastly headstocks throw me off. G&L is a good example. Ergh. And their trems aren't too pretty either...
