A real veneer? :poke:

 

 

Veneers can be made out of real wood...a very common practice. The "real" designation likely refers to a real wood veneer versus one with a photo of wood grain.

Anyone's tried their guitar kits? how's this one for instance?


 

 

Someone made one on here and complained the body wood was pretty poor, it's was like a sponge and absorbed everything making it hard to finish.

 

Stick with something like a grizzly kit IMO as you are just gonna end up wanting to upgrade it anyway

Some woods require a great deal of sanding sealer to close the pores prior to staining or painting. This is a basic property of some wood types and not a reflection on the quality of wood.

Ah, ok. thanks! I got interested in the body shape and headstock which looks like a Jackson RR model.
