as i was reading this thread purple haze came on the media player!

anyway...

I have a righty strat that i have a lefty neck on, flipped stagger pups

(CS 69), reverse bridge pickup pg, and custom R&R strings (just a real light set) helped a lot for jimi tone

The guitar sounds real sweet and mellow. i love it for clean sounds and well as fuzz wah madness

I have the Hendrix Tribute Strat; reverse headstock, bridge pickup flipped. Everything else is standard righty approved. Definitely captures a bit of Jimi's mojo. On the subject of Jimi playing righty guitars; I believe in the DVD that accompanies the 'Get Yer Ya-Yas Out' Box Set, Jimi is seen playing Mick Taylor's righty SG.

I too am a lefty. But playing guitar is one thing I learned to do right handed from the start. My left hand is the strongest of the two. So why would anyone want to play left handed anyway? And the whole Jimi thing is a bunch of hype. Aint gonna sound much different. Gonna be harder to play as already stated. Wanna really make an impression: learn to play.
