Members SirJackdeFuzz
The question is simple : What would you rather play/own, a Gretsch Malcolm Young sig model, (see below), or a Gibson Les Paul of the same price. http://www.guitaren.dk/%5Cimages%5Cmedlemmer%5CG6131MY_Malcolm_Young_Natural_2_Pickup_JT08041179combo%5B1%5D.jpg http://www.gretschguitars.com/gear/index.php?a=2&product=G6131MY http://www.trocmusic.com/images/annonces/upload/228331.jpg Vote now. Members bsman
No competition for me - a Gretsch white falcon (or penguin, etc.) is one of the few truly "pimped-out" guitars that I like. And I like them a lot. That pic is making my pants feel funny!
Members guitarman3001
les paul for me. After many years, I've determined that although I like playing all kinds of guitars, a LP is "me". I have all kinds of other guitars and I'll play them once in a while but my main guitar will likely always be a LP. If I could only have one guitar it would be a LP. Members SirJackdeFuzz
Gretsch is winning so far ! GO GRETSCH !!!
Members Targ
Have a Gibson custom shop Les Paul, and a Gretsch Sparkle jet. I voted for the Gretsch... lets just say Gretsch has come a LONG way since they started production in Japan.
Members dangordan
Les Paul (wish I was getting paid to say that).
Members Brian Krashpad
Dead heat for me. I generally prefer doublecuts, but haven't tried the pickups on the Gretsch so I don't know what I'd be getting tone-wise. And since I have a doublecut LP (in addition to a singlecut), that sorta minimizes the DC advantage for the Gretsch.
Members Chairborne
Funny that the Gretsch is doing so well, because in the real world the LP wins in a walk.
Members BlackCat
Gretsch for me. But I'd rather have a Duo Jet.
Members benricci
I'll take the genuine Gibcon.
Members Vintage55
Les Paul...I just don't like that body shape. Now if it was a choice between a Les Paul and an Eastman, my choice would change... but it isn't...
