Members diceman1000
i posted this right before the crash, but it's gone now...this makes me so sad...this used to be a Standard auction description OK, THIS IS A RARE VINTAGE 1970'S WESTBURY ELECTRIC GUITAR. THIS IS A SOLID GUITAR. THE BINDING ON THE BODY IS VERY NICE, BUT THE BOTTOM PARTOF THE GUITAR SHOWS A POINTED DESIGNED THAT HAS A TEAR(CRACKED) AT THE END OF THE TWO POINTS. IT CAN BE FIX BY A PROFESSIONAL GUITAR FIXER. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES THIS GUITAR HAS SOME COVER PLATE MISSING TWO ON THE BACK.THERE IS ONE PICK UP MISSING INFRONT.THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT IT DOES NOT AFFECT THE PLAYABILITY AND SOUND OF THE GUITAR AT ALL. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE OF THIS(NEARLY 30+ YRS OLD) THAT DID NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM.I THINK THE PREVIOUS OWNER MIGHT HAVE PAINTED THIS BLACK. THE POTS AND SWITCHES ARE APPARENTLY IN NEED OF CLEANING BUT EVERYTHING SEEMS TO WORK. THE FRETS HAVE SOME WEAR BUT PLENTY OF LIFE LEFT.THERE IS A HOLE ON THE BACK PROBABLY ABOUT 1/8" WHERE THE PREVIOUS OWNER TRIED TO ATTACH A STRAP BUT DECIDED TO GO ON A DIFFERENT SPOT.THERE ARE QUITE A FEW MINOR NICKS AND ABRASIONS, BUT PRETTY GOOD SHAPE FOR A GUITAR THIS OLD. PLEASE ASK ME LOTS QUESTIONS OR IF YOU WANT MORE PICS JUST ASK AND I WILL SEND ONE TO YOU.SHIPPING IN THE USA IS 80.00 THIS IS AN OVERSIZE BOX.I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THIS GUITAR, PL'S GOOGLE WESTBURY BEFORE BUYING THIS GUITAR. I REALLY DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT WESTBURY. OK! the guy was asking $899 for it.now it's at $640 OBO:facepalm:...how sad...

Members Jables66
Now this is weird. I've been picturing a flame-shaped guitar for a long time in my mind, but I've never seen one. This is pretty much exactly what I had in mind, it's just a pity that someone saw fit to scribble profanity upon it.

Members Dougie.Douglas
Minarik have been making one for a while now, The Inferno. My local guitar store had one of them hanging above the door for quite some time... I don't know if it were for sale or not, but it looked quite epic.
