Members EllenGtrGrl
Chris Cornell posted this last night on his Twitter page: http://twitter.com/chriscornell And the main Soundgarden website also says it: http://www.soundgardenworld.com/ Well, it looks the improbable is happening - Soundgarden in 2010! What a trip!! Now, the question is - if it's really happening, will it be cool, or just a "we're only in it for the money" effort.
Members bsman
Who cares? That time has come and gone. I used to really like Soundgarden, but when they come up on rotation on my ipod these days, they sound terribly dated -- more so than the Beatles... Members hardtdc
I'd go see them if they tour without a doubt. I've always loved their music and much prefer Cornell with them than solo or with Audioslave.
Members BERT1FLORES
I never understood the split. PearJam is good but SoundGarden was real good. I say bring it!
Members CanIBDom
A couple of years ago this would have been cool news. After the Timbaland debacle, however, I can't look at Cornell the same way anymore.
Members bsman
I never understood the split. Chris Cornell is an egomaniacal jerk. Enough said?
Members darkcheef
It will be horrible, Cornell lost his voice a good amount of time ago.
Members EllenGtrGrl
I never understood the split.PearJam is good but SoundGarden was real good.I say bring it! I'm not sure myself, but I do rembember reading that they felt they were starting to fizzle as a band, and all decided to end it, while they were on top. As for the statements about their relevance nowadays - yeah, maybe they aren't that relevant anymore, but it doen't mean they aren't valid to listen to. After all, look at all of the classic rock bands some people listen to, or the blues for that matter (which IMO, like reggae, and rockabilly [to an extent] has become so frozen stylistically [rhythmically, and, even with regards to the keys it's played in] that most blues bands, sound the same). May people would say it's the same boring old stuff. But that doesn't mean it's not valid to listen to.
Members Wyatt
At least they are doing it while they are still relatively young instead of waiting until most of their range and stamina was long gone, like Simon and Garfunkel, CSNY and Cream did. Members jpnyc
I guess he needs to make back all the money he wasted paying Timbaland to produce Scream.
Members Superrust
I saw them in the early 90s and would see them again. It would be nice to hear some of the old songs performed live again.

Members Metalrulez
Sorry but this is one of those who cares. Big dumb sex what their best song. They were good and fun to listen to but they have been gone so long who cares. They were good but, not that good. If it is free on TV I would DVR and watch it.:rawk:
Members SirJackdeFuzz
As much as i like Soundgarden . . . i have a bad feeling about this one ! They should not screw w their legacy as a brilliant band. The Stooges did it, and look where that got them - down the toilet !
