Members jnr1114
That's the problem. I can't go anywhere accept this little guitar shop and they have a poor quantity of Electric Guitars.
Members Guitar Heel
What kind of music do you generally play? Have you been playing long?
Members jnr1114
Total: Five YearsActive: Two Years I have been stuck with a cheapy Ibanez. It's a 150$ guitar so I am hoping to get a new one around 300-500$ USD. Usually Metal, Thrash Metal, Shred. Mess around. I like the bands Metallica and Megadeth. Members benricci
Well, do you need a trem? 'Cause that'll eliminate two of the choices.
Members jnr1114
That's pretty much the debate. My guitar currently doesn't have a trem and I can quite used to it. I don't know if I want to deal with a Floyd or if I will even need one. Is it worth working on the floyd?
Members Guitar Heel
Personally, I can't stand Floyds. But others can't stand to be without them... How important is a set-neck to you? Do you play a lot in the upper registers?
Members benricci
Is it worth working on the floyd? Depends on what you play. For me, no. I play mostly pop, classic and indie rock. I have really no use for a Floyd anymore. But you said you play metal and shred. One would assume you'd want a locking trem of some sort. You may want to disqualify the two guitars from that list without trems. That would narrow it down to the Schecter Omen w/Floyd and the Ibanez. Members jnr1114
But the others have EMG's. . . So it is basically this: Guitar With Temolo, Bad Pickups. 350-450$ USD Guitar Without Trem, Good Pickups. 450-500$ USD
Members Guitar Heel
Have you thought about going used? You can get SOOOOOOOO much more for the money.
