Members Elias Graves
Gonna try something fun. I've become a big fan of Rock's Guitar Pic of the Day, so I'm gonna steal his idea and put a little twist on it. On Fridays I'll post two guitars similar in price and duties. You choose. Pretty simple. I'll start the first one with a couple of teles. Members ChrisGansz
I like the way they did that Black Dove - the combination of the P90's, Strat headstock, and seperated volume and tone controls just looks so rock and roll! The spalted guitar looks as though a car hit a tree and left the wound open - not a big fan of the spalted look. HOWEVER, I like the idea of humbuckers on the tele! My vote still goes for the Black Dove!

Members cratz2
I think I'd have to go for the Black Dove. I'm not a big fan of figured tops in a natural finish. Throw an iced tea burst or a dark blue stain or a transparent black finish on it and I might dig it.

Members Willyguitar
I go for the black dove. I don't like the look of the first one really, but I do like the idea of P90s in a tele.
Members hipcat
#2 IMO, Tele with a black pickguard/black dots on a maple neck w/ big headstock looks cool

Members steve_man
not a fan of spalted tops....not a fan of dual humbucker teles with no pickguard...easy choice...the Dove
Members snowaie
man, u can't best an original tele, especially with buckers. but that other tele is probably sweet with two volume and tone pots u can probably get a sick tone and it's probably very versatile. both colors are kind of unique but I'm not really a fan of the red/black. my votes for 1. sweets axes though!! Members the new guy
I'm going with number 1 only because I've never cared for the humongous pickguard on the Tele Deluxe. Lose the giant plastic and #2 would be my first choice.............

Members Martin Player
While I really don't like strat headstocks on teles, I have been on a mad P90 kick lately, so this one goes to the Black Dove.

EG It looks good. The finish is glossy but don't feel sticky or oily, more of a plexi feel. The fret work on that I played was perfect, I think it's ebony fingerboard, and big frets, abalone inlay, solid neck through and belly contour, it feels like a piece, very organic. I like it, but would hit other things with 800 bucks (yesterday I snapped a LPVM off ebay at 650), cause my rig is far from all set.
