Don't get me wrong, I'm not completely stuck in previous decades and I did enjoy several pieces of music that came out in the '00s. But most of those were just individual songs rather than whole albums. And of the recent albums I've purchased, hardly any of them seem to hold together all the way through as albums: only a few are good from start to finish rather than just having 1-2 good songs and a lot of filler, and even of those, only one really blew me away. So my pick for top album of the '00s is:

1. D'Angelo - Voodoo

Some off the top of my head:

Dan Auerbach -- Keep It Hid

Drive-By Truckers -- Southern Rock Opera and the Dirty South

The White Stripes -- Icky Thump

Lucinda Williams -- Essence

The Hold Steady -- Stay Positive

Wilco -- Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

2000 Nine Days - The Madding Crowd

2000 SR-71 - Now You See Inside

2001 Flickerstick - Welcoming Home the Astronauts

2002 Stroke 9 - Rip it Off

2002 Dropline - You Are Here

2002 Norah Jones - Come Away with Me

2003 Honestly - Have a Nice Life

2003 Vertical Horizon - Go

2004 Matt Nathanson - Beneath These Fireworks

2004 Graham Colton Band - Drive

2005 Jack's Mannequin - Everything in Transit

2006 Angels and Airwaves - We Don't Need to Whisper

2007 Motion City Soundtrack - Even if it Kills Me

2007 Emerson Hart - Cigarettes and Gasoline

2007 Angels and Airwaves - I-Empire

2007 We the Kings - We the Kings

2008 Taylor Swift - Fearless

Wow the 00s were some bad times for music.

I couldn't disagree more, but I respect your opinion. :thu:
