I spent some time searching for this on the net for a while, but didn't have much luck with google.

So, I need your help here. Does anyone know much about this guitar? Non-original pickups, but pretty reasonably priced for a vintage unit, I guess. Any opinions on Ibanez Pre/Post-Lawsuit guitars in general would be welcome too. I've never owned a Tele, so I'm a little hesitant.

Thanks in advance. :)

I'm no expert on those but that seems a little pricey to me. It's not like the early/mid 70's MIJ have the same reputation as the early 80's.

Hmm. 800 NZD is approximately a little less than 600 USD. Unfortunately, it's quite hard to find vintage guitars cheap in NZ.

Don't know much about Ibanez lawsuit guitars. One of my mates' got a 70's Ibanez SG that plays heavenly though.

I have a 1975 Ibanez SG that I like quite a bit. Of course I didn't pay anywhere near $600 for it. My best guess is that you would be pretty impressed with the craftsmanship of that tele and that the pickup upgrade is desirable in this case.

Thanks. Not sure how much is a reasonable price especially when you can't find much info on these old Ibanez.

I have an MIJ Strat that I've been using forever, and I love the neck especially. These people surely make some good guitars.

with this kind of guitars it's more like, how much are you willing to pay for it, rather than what it's worth. IMO. Granted it is vintage, and rare, but it is not really that sough after.. like say an old jaguar or to name one. And if you're buying for collection purposes, the fact that it's not completely stock doesn't help much either.

That said, it looks pretty cool. :thu:
