Members mdrake34
It is really sweet. I'm interested to see what people say about the Alnico 5 pickups in this one versus the Alnico 3's in the 50's CV tele.

I'm interested to see what people say about the Alnico 5 pickups in this one versus the Alnico 3's in the 50's CV tele. i'm pretty sure they are these: http://www.tonerider.com/pickups/telepickups.html Tonerider TRT1. The alnicos in the first run CVs have been semi-confirmed to be Sufaris, Classic blues, and hot classics sets, so it wouldn't surprise me if those are the PUs
Members Wulver
After learning that the CV 50s Tele is routed for a neck humbucker, and assuming that this one is too......god I want one so very much.
Members bsman
Wish it had a maple board... That'd sort of kill the whole vibe: It's a copy of the 62 custom tele, which was notable (aside from the binding) for being the first tele (IIRC) with a rosewood fretboard. They didn't even come close to the specs of the Toneriders. They were good sounding pickups none the less.
Members favata5
Nice!!! as an owner and player of a White Classic vibe Tele and a burst 50s Strat, I gotta say,China has been knocking out some class acts these days!

I saw one of the threads and supposedly someone at Tonerider gave the wink wink as to Classic Vibes having their pups, but could not officially state that. I left a message for the owner of Tonerider to see if this is true. I've know him for years so hopefully he'll let me know the scoop.

Members Hoople Head
Anyone pulled the trigger yet? I'll be doing so as soon as I can get a 20% off coupon. Or I guess I can try to call in and haggle w/ the rep... does that typically work?

Members Coda_
Double bound, my friend. ...last summer I was telling a friend that I hope the next CV Tele is a 60's tele in sunburst with a rosewood fret board and white binding...I never actually thought It would happen though...I was planning on getting a CV 50's Tele this year, but I might be biting on the custom instead... I absolutely love the '62 AVRI Tele but I would never be able to afford it so this Squier is just the ticket. I was also planning on the CV 50's but that has changed. Members slashfacepalm
I'm going to get one as soon as some money surfaces. I could get one right now, but I'd be broke. I need a money blanket first. But yes, totally killer. Teles with binding ftw.
