Members EADGBE
Here's just some of the albums that were released in 1976. Has there ever been a year to compare with this one in both quality and quantity? I know you all know of more albums that came out then. But anyway here is a sample. 1976 is also the year took up guitar. Maybe the following is one reason why. Frampton comes alive. The biggest selling live album of all time. Thin Lizzy Jailbreak. Who can forget this? It put them on the map. Boston 1st album. It was phenomenal! No one had heard guitars like this before! Heart Dreamboat Annie. The first of many albums to come. And they're still rockin'! Alan Parson project Tales of mystery and imagination. A masterpiece. Ted Nuggent Free for all. Yeah Ted had an album out too that year. The Stones Black and Blue. My favorite album by them. Another classic Steve Miller's Fly like an eagle.
Members EADGBE
The Runaways first album also came out in 1976. It helped launch Joan Jett's and Lita Ford's career. Paul McCartney released two albums in 1976. And... Wings over America. Bad Co. Run with the pack. Aerosmith Rocks. The Eagles Hotel Califorina. Linda Ronstadt Hasten down the wind Al Stewart Year of the cat Bob Seger Night moves. Anyway just a sample of what 1976 was like musically. One of my all time favorite years in music. Are any of these albums your favorites too?

Members foppy
Fuelish: you were doing well until you got to the end there..... Agreed. This thread was bringing back bad memories... Then we got to the Ramones and Bowie and Tom W. and I felt some relief. Then into the pit of 70s despair again with Rush. One man's nostaglia is another's grim flashback. Members blackmappes
It all depends on what you like. 1980 knocks spots off 1976, in my opinion.
Members Pine Apple Slim
From 67-68 up thru 75-76 were some darn good years for music.Im biased, but IMO there hasnt been such a time since.I graduated High School in 75. The things I got away with and the fun I had would have gotten me permanantly expelled and probably jailed nowadays.

Members RufusFussbuster
Snobs, look down your noses if you must - but this is the one of the very first LPs that started it for this (then) young kid. Checked out from the local library on a regular basis, heh. Freaking magical time, my infancy of discovering rock music.
