Members bq9187
How do guitars in this series hold up compared to the more expensive models? I'm in the market for a semihollow body guitar but I don't know a ton about them. Are they better than the Epiphone or other brands of semihollows? Members BlackCat
I've had mine about four years. No major issues so far. The negatives that I've noticed are: The strap buttons (Gretsch style detachable) stripped out rather quickly. The bridge rattled so badly that I replaced it right away. Most people aren't crazy about the stock pickups.
Members tartanphantom
Gretsch doesn't make semi-hollows, unless you count the Duo Jet, which is actually a semi-hollow masquerading as a solidbody. All of their big body guitars are full hollow, some have a soundpost or trestle bracing though. A full hollowbody has quite a different tonality than a semi-hollow. Not sure if this is what you're after...
