Members danhan1113
I really like Tite fits because they are so bright sounding right out of the package. After about a week it mellows to a nice, tame tone.

I've been thinking of going in another direction for a while. It would be one thing if it was one set, on one guitar or from one store but I'm talking about six-eight sets on three or four guitars from three shops. Members chadd
Fraying at the ends and unwinding. Plus, a couple sets would not stay in tune no matter what. Replaced them with another brand and the guitar was fine. Put DRs on again and more of the same problems. I've been playing for more than 20 years and doing repair and setup for more than 15, it wasn't user error in this case. I've gone over the guitars with a fine tooth comb and have not been able to find any reason to blame them for these problems.

I've never had issues with them but you certainly aren't the first I've heard say that. Sounds like they've gone down hill since I last used them which is a shame because I really liked them while I was using them. I switched D'addario because I found some good deals on bulk packs. Members Ancient Mariner
DR tit fits here: 3 X the life expectancy of d'Addarios with lower breakage. I've had a couple of bad sets a few years back, and they also cannot cope with being tensioned and then released - the right angle bend where they fit through the tuner hole fractures every time the string is loosened on the plain strings.
