Members cabo420
Which pickups from GFS should I get. I mainly play alternative/ambient music. I was thinking about the mean 90's. Any other suggestions?
Members CanIBDom
I think the pickups in my Dot are great--they're alnico and I love how they sound distorted. As far as the Mean 90s go I think they'd be an excellent choice for a semi-hollow. I'm a big P90 fan, and if I was going to swap the pickups in my Dot they'd be my first choice, especially since I'm a budget gear kind of guy--I'd get a set of BG Pure 90s if I were a big spender. I'll also point out that GFS Classic II Alnicos should be a good choices as well. Also, I have GFS Dream 180s in the bridge position of two guitars and think they're good. These three are probably the best-reviewed humbuckers in the GFS lineup.

Members Rob Dobbs
The pups in my Dot Studio are very dark and growl with little OD, cant really imagine replacing them which is why I put the set of Dream 180's in my 335 clone. The dream 180's are bright but warm with great attack.
