It isn't so much that it is a bad solo than that it goes on and on and on.... I would say that the majority of songs with guitar solos that go for more than 12 bars is ruined. There are very few players that are interesting enough to sustain a good solo beyond that, and very few songs that can be improved by long solos. The Song is, "Let the River Run" and Carly Simon won the Oscar for best original Song, but I've always wanted to re-do that solo. It's just so...generic.
