Members Charvel1975
Hello, I was wondering if anyone here has ever heard of a Grover Shine Monster guitar cable? This guy on Craigslist is selling one and in the description they put 14 k gold 30 foot guitar cable and they said they are made by Grover and it is called a shine monster because the tone it gives shines over all cables. It has copper and gold meshed cables inside giving it a more clear tone and 56kb less noise than any cable on the market today and the tips are solid 14 k gold. What do you guys think? I've never heard of this cable??

Members Charvel1975
They also said in the ad that they paid $65 for the cable and they've used it 3 times and they're asking $
Members Roflmao
Scam. First off, copper is a better conductor than gold because it just has a lower resistivity. The reason some tips are amphenol gold plated are because copper will oxide in open air, and oxided copper is worse than gold. If the copper is inside the cable, gold anything would be a waste of money, and a tone killer too. Secondly, he's probably calling it a "Grover Shine Monster cable" so that if someone actually buys it, and he just sends a regular worn out monster cable, some people might not suspect anything since it still says monster on it. Members BoneNut
At least for me, learning a new chord would improve my playing more than a 14k gold cord.

Yea I think I'm gonna pass on this one, I was pretty skeptical after doing a little Google searching and nothing coming up at all, now Grover does make guitar cables but not the model that dude was advertising: http://www.grotro.com/Maincables.html
