Members Jetpuffed
I was wondering if anyone happened to know offhand what type of tonepros bridge the EC-1000 bridge has (I'm aware it's some type of Tonepros II model, though there is more than one) as I am looking into getting some graphtech saddles. Similarly, if anyone knew offhand the nut depth, width and height, that would be greatly appreciated. I'm noticing this thing has {censored} for sustain, I suspect the saddles and that POS earvana nut is a good place to start.
Members Bro Blue
I have an EC1000, and it has great sustain. A few questions: 1. How old are your strings2. What kind of pickups are you using3. How close are they to the strings
Members Jetpuffed
My strings get changed quite regularly, as they lose that shine after a little while. Pickups are a Seymour Duncan phat cat P90 bridge and PAF classic plus humbucker neck. Pickups are 4-6mm away on the bridge (low E string) and about 5-7mm away on the neck. Ideas? Members Bro Blue
If you haven't done so already, lower the stop bar until it is screwed all the way in. Then adjust the action at the bridge to where you want it. Then lower the pickups farther away from the strings. Sometimes, if the pickups are too close to the strings, the pull from the pickups kills string vibration.
Members Jetpuffed
You Sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. This whole time I attributed the lack of sustain to wood quality, I guess I just assumed this was simply a quality of korean LTD construction. Moved the pick-ups down and that P-90 just wails! Thanks.
