Members wrathchild1
I picked up my first hollow body guitar, a Gretsch. The pup are very dark sounding, and low output. What should I look for? I dont know if I use a PAF pickup without getting loads of feedback. I use PAFs in my other solid body guitars.. Let me know whats best to do here. I use boosted Marshall JMPs and player heavier rock.

Members Goofball Jones
Which Gretsch do you have? One of the 5120's? You may want to upgrade the pups to TV Jones. Otherwise, if you have a "mud" switch on your Gretsch, you may try turning it off. Look here at this guy, he's using a 6120 Brian Setzer signature model...TV Jones pups:
Members wrathchild1
Yeah, I got 5120, but those TV jones pick ups are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Is it out of the question for a hollow body to use a PAF?
