Members noisebloom
Let's assume for the moment that there might be a sequel to It Might Get Loud. Who would you pick to be in this? I'd pick Clapton or Townshend as the "elder statesman" of the lot. Either man can bring a ton of history to the conversation. I'd probably pick EVH as the "in between" (between the 60s and now) figure. He'd be a good fit with Clapton, since Clapton is one of Ed's ultimate idols. He can also talk with Townshend about tinkering with gear. And I'm not sure who to pick for the "modern player," but someone suggested Dave Grohl should have been in the original instead of Jack White, and I think that's an inspired choice. Dave would be sure to light a fire in this sort of musical conversation, no matter who the other two are. There are other guys I've conspicuously left out, and probably better combinations, so let's hear your ideas.

Members Coda_
...Ive been thinking about this since I saw the film...Ive built my choices on the model of one guitarist from the 60's-70's, one from the 80's-90's, and one more modern...I have come up with the following... 60's-70's: either David Gilmour, Brian May, Tony Iommi, Carlos Santana, Or Clapton80's-90's: either Mark Knopfler, Alex Lifeson, or (as much as I hate his music) Ritchie SamboraMore modern: either Johnny Greenwood, John Fruschante, or John Mayer... Members noisebloom
Some other combos I thought of ... If I were to put together a trio of blues players, I'd pick Buddy Guy, Clapton, and John Mayer. An interesting group of prog players might include Robert Fripp, Alex Lifeson or Steve Hackett, and maybe Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. For country guitar players, I'd pick Roy Clark, Marty Stuart and Brad Paisley.

I'd be just as happy with Gilmour as I would with Santana. Either way would make for some really interesting playing .
