Members whataracket Posted January 26, 2010 Members Share Posted January 26, 2010 How about finding the smallest cutoff wheel you can get for a Dremel tool, and cut a screwdriver slot in the end of the broken screw. If you do it with a small enough wheel, you may still cut into the wood a tiny bit, but it should be hidden by the strap button. Then try heating the screw up until it smokes a little and then see if you can twist it out with a small screwdriver. Heat it up slowly (applying the iron a few seconds at a time)so the heat has a chance to transfer along the length of the screw. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
