Settling all the debates at once

I think a really fun way to settle these debates would be with fisticuffs. Each side picks a forumite representative, and those reps go and beat the stuffing out of each other. Maybe they use pitchforks.

We could take this a bit further, and pick forumites we don't like that much (c'mon, we could all name a few) to do battle Mad Max style over each disputed topic. The grand finale of flame wars in a Thunderdome setting.

"only the greatest warriors and their deadliest enemies emerged from the flames..."

That would be good lurking, Walter.

Gibson vs. Fender - Fender, hands down.

US-made vs. Asian - Depends on price. Don't want any guitars over $1000.

"Original" designs vs. copies - Depends when they were made.

Epiphone vs. Agile - Never played an Agile.

SX vs. Squier - Never played an SX.

Nitro vs. Poly - Poly, 'cause it's nice and shiny.

Humbuckers vs. Single-coils - Single coils for rhythm, humbuckers for lead.

Alder vs. Mahogany (vs. Plywood vs. Lucite, etc.) - Kind of wood don't matter to me.

Tube vs. Solid state - Solid state. Too cheap and lazy to replace tubes and
can't tell the diff between solid state and preamp tube distortion.

Analog pedal boards vs. Digital combo pedals - How about no pedals?

Digital vs. Analog - What's the diff?

D.I. vs. Amp - Modeling amp with speaker emulated DI might work.

Bone nut vs. Graphite - Graphite.

Tremolo vs. Hard-tail - Would like to see more hard tail Strats.

GFS vs. All-Parts - Never tried either one.
