Members k4df4l
I have a project coming up that I'm going to need a set of potentiometers for and I'm probably going to order a set of CTS pots.....what's everyone's current preference for quality & reliability? Apparently Bourns announced they are revamping their guitar potentiometer lineup for 2010 @ NAMM. Any idea what these enhancements are? http://www.bourns.com/PressReleases.aspx?name=100107_namm_media_alert
Members BoneNut
I buy CTS with brass shaft, eight at a time. I've never had one fail me but I did fry one when I was learning how to solder. The only issue I have with them is how much resistance can vary from one to another. What I do is choose between them to get a set of four, with the most similar resistances.

Members k4df4l
I've only used CTS up to this point for my guitars and have been plenty satisfied....unless I find some compelling info on Bourns, I guess I just keep going with what's worked so far. Members igge
Nothing wrong with Bourns pots. I have them in two of my amps. You won't be disappointed.
